Welcome
to Pearls of Grace Fine art prints. I hope you are as pleased
with the prints as I am.
For the last 10 years, I have been
blessed to be able to paint portraits of children. It has
been a wonderful experience to meet so many people and be able to
bring something to their homes that captures what they love about
their children.
Nine years ago, I received a call from a
friend's neighbor who was looking for new products for a mail order
catalog. He was intrigued with my work and within a months time, my
watercolor portraits were advertised in the catalog. My contact
person told me they expected about 50 orders and would not take
anymore orders once the number was reached. Within three weeks,
there were over 1,100 orders for the portraits, obviously I could
not physically paint that many - but I did complete 350 paintings,
working 6 days a week for months. It was a valuable
experience, but I am more comfortable working for myself and
assuring the art work is in good hands.
 God had my life to construct over the next few years - three more
children were born, bringing our total to six! It is a joy
that
I am able to paint as a business and work at home. He
orchestrates everything from my volume of work to periods of rest.
All my work is word of mouth, I never advertise.
For a couple of years, God
had been stirring in my heart the desire to paint for him, to be
able to combine my love for him with the gift he has given me.
But the timing was never right. His timing though is perfect,
life happens, needs arise and prayers are answered. The image
of the angel was in my mind's eye when I discovered the Giclee
prints.
Giclee prints are beautiful
reproductions of the original, unlike anything I have seen.
They capture the essence of the original as close to perfect as can
be. They are reproduced onto museum grade hot pressed art
paper or canvas, depending on the medium used to paint the original.
It is my hope that the paintings are not just decoration, but an
avenue for God to speak to the one who sees it. After all, the
ideas are from him, the gift to paint is from him and the impact the
paintings make on others is because of him.

Giclee prints are beautiful reproductions that hold the color
and beauty of the original art work. Paintings done in
pastel are printed on fine grade art paper. The oil
paintings have been reproduced onto canvas, and brushed with a
clear medium that mirrors the original piece. Giclee,
(pronounced "jhee-clay") is a French word describing a technique
of spraying, which is how the inks are applied to the media.
Giclee is a recognized fine art print category, like
lithograph and serigraph, and is fast being considered the
best technique for reproducing original works of art.
The paper used is museum grade 300 lb hot press. The
inks boast up to 200-year stability and are unmatched in ink
stability.
